The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) returns this Christmas season, for its 28th year of bringing joy and cheer to beneficiaries during the festive period. This year, the project seeks to reach out to 40, 551 elderly and less fortunate Singaporeans. At the media conference held on 4 November 2015 at Cookyn Inc, the BBSG appealed for more corporations and individuals to adopt wishes made by the growing number of elderly beneficiaries.
6 beneficiaries from AWWA Family Service Centre having their Christmas wishes granted early. It was a heartening sight to see the smiles on their faces as they received their gifts which includes new backpacks, a pair of ‘jeggings’ and a wheelchair.
Our friends from AWWA also had the opportunity to take part in a cooking session conducted by instructors from Cookyn Inc alongside the volunteers and representatives from our presenting sponsor, Prudential Assurance Singapore. They learnt easy-to-cook dishes with the use of ingredients that can be found in the BBSG’s food hamper while getting to know new friends. It was indeed a unique experience for all of us.
As for the BBSG 2015 team, we are all ready to kick start this meaningful project along with our sponsors and we look forward to bringing smiles to the less fortunate this season!
The BBSG 2015 project will be held from 23 November to 17 December.
